Knead Massage – Customer Terms and Conditions

Definitions

  • “We”, “us” or “Knead Massage” refers to the booking agent and platform operator.
  • “Therapist” refers to the self-employed massage professional you book via our platform.
  • “Session” or “Appointment” refers to the booked time and service delivered by a Therapist.

Our Role
At Knead Massage, we’re passionate about making it easy to find high-quality massage therapy from trusted professionals. We act solely as an introducer and booking agent for independent, self-employed massage therapists (“Therapists”). While we do not provide massage therapy services ourselves, we carefully select the Therapists who feature on our platform, and we’re committed to helping ensure a great experience from start to finish.

All massage services are delivered by the Therapist with whom you book. That Therapist is responsible for the service they provide, including your care and safety during the session. We work only with Therapists who hold relevant qualifications and insurance, and we welcome feedback from clients to help maintain high standards.

Booking and Payment
When you book through Knead Massage, you are reserving a session with a Therapist who operates independently. We handle the booking and take payment on the Therapist’s behalf. Pricing is set in collaboration with each Therapist to reflect their experience and the type of service offered.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with the details. Your Therapist may contact you ahead of time to confirm any specifics or check for relevant health information.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • If you cancel: You can cancel or reschedule your booking free of charge if you give at least 24 hours’ notice. For late cancellations (less than 24 hours), unfortunately we can’t offer a refund.
  • If the Therapist cancels: If your Therapist is unable to attend, we will do our best to help you rebook or offer a full refund.
  • No-shows: If you don’t attend your session and haven’t contacted us in advance, unfortunately we can’t offer a refund.

Liability
Our role is to connect you with qualified, self-employed Therapists who deliver massage services independently. By booking through Knead Massage, you agree that any contract for massage therapy is between you and the Therapist. While we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of individual Therapists, we take complaints seriously and aim to support resolution wherever possible.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Knead Massage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including (but not limited to) loss of earnings, loss of enjoyment, or personal injury, arising out of or in connection with your use of our platform or services provided by Therapists.

Insurance
Each Therapist is required to hold appropriate professional liability insurance and is responsible for ensuring that their insurance is up to date and valid for the services they provide.

Health and Medical Information
To help your Therapist deliver a safe and effective treatment, it’s important that you share any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or health concerns before your session. This helps the Therapist adapt the treatment to your needs or determine if it’s appropriate to proceed.

Health Disclaimer
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have any health concerns, consult your GP or healthcare provider before booking. By proceeding with a session, you confirm you are fit to receive massage therapy.

Minimum Age
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. Clients under 18 may only book a massage with the prior written consent of a parent or legal guardian and must be accompanied by them during the session where appropriate.

Accessibility and Inclusivity
We aim to ensure all customers feel welcome and supported. If you have any specific access, cultural, or communication needs, please let us know when booking so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Code of Conduct
We ask all clients to treat Therapists with courtesy and respect. Any inappropriate, threatening, or abusive behaviour will result in the immediate end of the session with no refund issued. We reserve the right to refuse future bookings in such cases.

Your Information
We collect and store information you provide to manage your booking and communicate with your Therapist. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

Communications
By booking with us, you consent to receiving essential emails related to your appointment (e.g. booking confirmation, reminders, and feedback requests). You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

Availability of Services
We aim to keep all advertised sessions and therapists up to date, but availability is not guaranteed. On rare occasions, we may need to cancel or reschedule a booking due to unforeseen circumstances.

Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, accidents, transport disruption, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

Pricing and Errors
While we do our best to ensure all prices are correct at the time of booking, we reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings in the event of a pricing error or misrepresentation.

Prohibited Use
Any misuse of our platform—including attempting to book for anything other than legitimate, professional massage therapy—will result in immediate cancellation without refund and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Platform Use
You agree to use our website and booking system lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. We may suspend or restrict access if we suspect misuse or any breach of these Terms.

Right to Refuse Bookings
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion. In such cases, we will provide a full refund if payment has already been made.

Gift Vouchers and Promotions
Promotional codes and gift vouchers may be subject to expiry dates, specific usage conditions, and may not be redeemable for cash. We reserve the right to withdraw or modify promotional offers at any time.

Session Disputes
If you are dissatisfied with a session, please contact us within 48 hours. We will review your feedback with the Therapist and aim to resolve the matter fairly, though we do not guarantee a refund.

Your Feedback Matters

Governing Law
These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
